David at Bluewater Yachts purchased the original mould for the Adams Naut 40 and made some additions and extensions. These proved to be an enhancement on the original design. The raised saloon and the sugar scoop at the stern where the best improvements. I chose to take these for Malua. David employed a fibreglasser layup expert to assist in spraying the chopped glass on to the hull. I went to Cardiff to assist with the layup and to ensure that the job was well done and that it met the specifications. At all points they checked the resin and the depth of mat and glass spayed up during each process. The temperature and the humidity are important factors. Fortunately the weather suited the process and everything went according to plan with the final thickness measurements more than meeting the specifications.
The deck and extras are a story in themselves.
